Spotted Fever

I own some purple spiders,
My dog is turning blue,
My sister is a monkey,
Oh, whatever shall I do?

I own a yellow pet rat,
My cat is rather green,
My mother is the worst sight
Someone's EVER seen.

My world is going crazy,
I do not understand,
I'm seeing spots and stripes
In front of my small hand.

I may be going crazy,
I feel as giddy as a pup,
You say that I need glasses?
Boy, I'm glad that that's cleared up.
