Bring your class to the library for a visit
Call 519-621-0460 or use the Online Booking Request to schedule a tour. Cambridge Libraries offers tours to meet the special needs of your class including library cards for every student. Choose a prearranged tour below, or contact the library location nearest you to customize a visit.
Grand River Transit (GRT) is offering Waterloo Region teachers and their students from Kindergarten through grade eight a free ride on a regularly scheduled bus routes for an introductory public library tour. Access the GRT Class Pass flyer for teachers for full details.
Ontario Curriculum Half Day Workshops
All workshops include a one hour make-and-take art activity with a professional art instructor, and an interactive library tour and activities. Cost is $4 per student and a minimum of 15 students are required for these workshops.

Library Orientation

An overview of all the exciting things the library has to offer including program information and a tour of the entire facility.
Storytime

An age-appropriate story read aloud by a professional children's programmer, and a general orientation of the library highlighting the children's area.
Reading Rocks

An exciting introduction to leisure reading materials for children. Age-appropriate, popular books and magazines are highlighted during a tour to excite advanced readers and encourage reluctant readers.
Project Prep

An informative, interactive tour that can be tailored to fit your class's current unit of study. Students learn how to access the library catalogue and online resources (encyclopedias and periodicals) from any internet connection.
Summer Reading Club

Get your students reading all summer! Bring them for a special library tour that showcases the fun games, prizes, and programs they can enjoy for FREE in July and August when they come to the library and join the Summer Reading Club.
